RAIN DATES for MURROW FIELD ON THE DIVIDE FLY-IN Weekend, now on June 28-29-30

About this event

Welcome to the Murrow Field on the Divide Fly-in
June 28-29-30 RAIN DATES Information Page!

This Event is planned because the original fly-in on June 21-24 had to be be cancelled due to weather, winds, etc.

Once again folks from many areas will gather in the mountains of Northern New Mexico to picnic, camp, hike, share tall tales, and weather permitting enjoy an evening campfire!

We hope you will be able to join us for this wonderful adventure with friends and family.  Whether you can attend just for the Saturday burrito breakfast or arrive and hike, bike, picnic, or camp over for that and at the other times, we know you will enjoy flying or driving into this beautiful mountain environment and visit with so many old and new friends.  If you enjoy nature photography you will find plenty of scenery and creatures to fill your camera, too!

Family, friends, airplanes, and camping - who could want more!

The ranch features a central meadow bracketed to the North and South by Ponderosa, Pinion, and Juniper forests and rimrock cliffs, with a number of ancient sites from the time of the Gallina people. The ranch adjoins the Santa Fe National Forest to the East, where one can enjoy extended bike and hiking opportunities. The Nogales Cliff House is in the Forest 10 miles down Forest Road 313, followed by a nice hike up a canyon wall to the site

Feel free to view a nice video of a prior fly-in at   https://vimeo.com/130270972

Folks who have studied and agreed with the information in our Briefing and completed the full registration procedure are welcome to attend at any time from Friday 10 AM through Monday morning, and may camp by their planes and in the grass and trees adjacent to the airstrip. We will probably ask Friday morning attendees to help with the setup (your option).

The main event is the free New Mexico Burrito Breakfast on Saturday morning, with coffee, rolls, cereal, etc. at 8 am, and burritos, etc. by 9 am.   Other meals are on your own via picnics or camping, including potlucks by arrangements with others.

The Briefing and Registration are required.

IMPORTANT:  The Briefing contains essential airstrip and procedures information plus a lot more information about the event itself. The high elevation airstrip is somewhat rough grass and dirt, long but quite narrow, with berms along the edges, so aircraft should be appropriate for high altitude backcountry type conditions, and pilots should be experienced and proficient and always be able to keep their planes on the center of the strip during landing and takeoff.  Details are in the Briefing.

First download and review the Murrow Field Fly-in Briefing pdf document, then you can use the Registration Link to access and complete the Registration Form.  You can return to the form and amend your registration information at any time.
