Emergency Go Bags WINGS Seminar 2019
A key element of NMPA's mission is promoting aviation safety. NMPA recognizes the importance of training and educational opportunities to maintaining and improving aviation safety.

The NMPA Safety Committee evaluates New Mexico’s unique flying opportunities and challenges to make recommendations to the Board for NMPA sponsored training and education programs. The Committee also assists other NMPA committees with development of safety and educational related products and activities.

NMPA’s Mountain Flying Clinic helps pilots prepare to fly in New Mexico and the mountain west. It addresses challenges which require mountain flying techniques for pilots used to lower altitudes, and where airports and services are more available.

NMPA’s Short Take off and Landing (STOL) Clinics  offer an opportunity for pilots to review and practice their skills as well as to meet new contacts in the aviation community. Conducted at airports around the state, pilots can return home by mid-afternoon of the same day.

Safety seminars are conducted at various locations throughout the state in cooperation with the FAA Safety Team, and local aviators.
