Treasure Hunts

Treasure hunts of aerial landmarks across New Mexico by Elizabeth Hunke of the Rio Grande 99's.  These can be solved from an airplane or at home on Google Earth.  If you have some interesting hunts from your corner of the state, we would like to add them to our collection.

Obscure and Scenic New Mexico

A collection of out of the way, unusual places to visit from the air across New Mexico, by Jeff Gilkey, published in the NMPA Forum and Newsletter.  You can access the articles 2 ways.

ZoomChat

During the dark days of COVID-19, Jeff Gilkey hosted a series of Zoom discussions about flying in New Mexico and the Southwest.  Many of the presentations feature expanded details of recent Obscure and Scenic NM columns with contributions from NMPA members or aviation related issues of the day.  As COVID restrictions lifted, our Zoom discussions faded away.

These discussions contain a lot a good background information about fun places to fly in and around New Mexico.
