The City of Deming is excited to announce the second annual Municipal Fly-In, set to take place at the Deming Municipal Airport on October 12, 2024. This family-friendly event promises a day filled with aviation excitement, educational activities, and community engagement.
The highlight of the day will be the Young Eagles EAA Chapter 530. From 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the program will offer free airplane rides to children ages 8 to 17. These rides provide a unique opportunity for Deming’s youth to experience aviation firsthand. Registration for airplane rides will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so parents are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot for their children.
Following the Young Eagles flights, the Municipal Fly-In activities will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Attendees can look forward to fun and engaging activities, including a car show featuring classic and modern vehicles, skydiver demonstrations by Viva Skydive, and educational exhibits focused on aviation and space exploration.
